Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Kaya Haven website at kayahaven.co.tz (the “Site”) and any booking made with Kaya Haven for a stay at one of our properties in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. By using the Site or completing a booking, you agree to these Terms.

1. Bookings & Reservations

A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation from us, following successful payment or, where applicable, approval of a reserved booking. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the guest details, dates, and property provided at the time of booking.

2. Payments

Prices are displayed in the currency shown at checkout and are payable in full or in part (deposit) at the time of booking, depending on the property and rate selected. Payments are processed through our third-party payment providers, including mobile money and card payment processors.

For properties where online payment collection is not enabled, your booking will be held as “reserved” pending confirmation by our team, who will contact you to arrange payment before your stay is finalized.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation and refund terms are set out in full in our Cancellation & Refund Policy. As a general rule, cancellations made with sufficient notice before check-in are eligible for a refund, while late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a charge. Contact our reservations team as early as possible if your plans change.

4. Check-In & Check-Out

Standard check-in and check-out times are communicated in your booking confirmation and may vary by property. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may incur an additional charge.

5. Guest Conduct

Guests are expected to treat our properties, staff, and other guests with respect. Kaya Haven reserves the right to refuse service or end a stay without refund in cases of illegal activity, damage to property, or conduct that endangers staff or other guests.

6. Liability

Kaya Haven takes reasonable care to ensure the safety and quality of our properties and services, but we do not accept liability for loss, damage, injury, or inconvenience arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, or from your own negligence.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including text, images, and branding, is the property of Kaya Haven or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your booking will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tanzanian courts.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site or a new booking after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
